Easy RV Cover Idea with PVC Fittings and Pipe

It's no fun to find out after the rain and snow that your camper had a leak all winter. To be sure that doesn't happen take a look at this great idea for covering the roof of your RV trailer. This concept can be used on all types of RVs. This method is quick, easy, and it won't break the bank. Using only a few different types of PVC fittings and pipe you can create a simple way to be sure your trailer is dry through the winter or rainy season.

When you buy an expensive RV cover, you'll find that it only has one use. Not only are tarps cheaper but they can be used for a wide range of projects all through the year. PVC pipe and fittings are also something you may have around the house and if not, they can be easily bought at your local hardware store.

This exact design was put over a 21-foot 5th wheel RV and uses all standard schedule 40 1-inch pipe and fittings. Here's a list of what you might need to cover a similar trailer.

1.) 12 x 24 foot tarp

2.) 20 Snap Clamps

3.) 4 Hanging Side Saddle Tee's (#353-H)

4.) 1 Slip Cross fitting

5.) 2 lengths of 2-1/2 inch long PVC pipe

6.) 2 lengths of 18 foot long PVC pipe

7.) 3 ropes 30 feet or longer.
